BUT NOW I SEE GOD! - 19

Today, Jared would have turned 28 years old if he was still with us. I can now say as Job did, "I had heard of You by the hearing of the ear; but now my eye has seen You." (Job 42:5) When you go through a difficult and life changing event there is only one place to get true comfort - in the arms of your heavenly Father.

You see, when your life seems to be devested beyond measure and you are broken, there's no pretense, only pain and a thousand tiny pieces. You can't do anything because nothing really matters any more. I can honestly say that the God of heaven is waiting for you to come to Him. He can put every piece back right where it's supposed to be, because He's the One who formed you in the first place. He will tenderly and lovingly work on you and you'll begin to see life come back into focus. It's not an instantaneous repair but it takes time due to the fact that God's not in a hurry like we are. In the end, you will see God.

Each and every Life Lesson in Jared's Heart is a testimony to the truth of what I'm saying. With each Life Lesson I began to see a little more of God, a different aspect of His nature, and realized the depth of His love for me. Oh, trust me, He still has a lot more work to do here but I'm so much further than I was. Jared's death brought me to Him in a way nothing else could. I was a very needy child.

Let me ask you a question: If your life took a devastating turn would you be able to go to the Father? "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.'" (John 14:6) The only way to God is having Jesus as your Savior. There's no shortcuts or backdoors. Only 1 way folks!!  Ephesians 5:14 says, "Wake up, O sleeper! Rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you." Is it time for you to wake up and accept Jesus as your savior? I like what Jonathan Cahn says - you're only 1 heartbeat away from eternity because you don't know if your next heartbeat will be your last. (paraphrased) Let's face it, I'm sure Jared didn't plan on his last heartbeat being when it was. Thankfully, he was ready for eternity. If you remember, shortly before he died he'd said he wanted Jesus to come back and save the people. Thus the reason for Jared's Heart!

We all have gone through or will go through things that seem to break us. With the Holy Spirit to guide and encourage us we will grow and gain strength in the Lord. We have an everlasting hope. Job definitely went through some trying times and that's why I would like to end with Job 42:12, "And the Lord blessed Job's latter days more than at the beginning." Amen!

    1. It blesses me to hear that this has given you hope. 2 Corinthians 1:4 says," He always comes alongside us in every suffering so that we can come alongside those who are in any painful trial. We can bring them this same comfort that God has poured on us." I can say I've been there and nothing I went through was in vain if I can share how Jesus has given me strength and hope and He wants to do the same for you. You just have to ask Him. Then He's not far off watching but sitting with His arm around you. Nothing's better. Praying for you - that the God of all hope will surround you and your family.
