Four years ago tonight is when I got the call that my son, Jared, had died from an overdose. God has been so very faithful to me, as I believe I've demonstrated in the Life Lessons. What I want to do now is to go back to the beginning as to re-establish why I started Jared's Heart. Salvation in Jesus!!
Jared had stated, a few months prior to his death, that he wanted Jesus to come back now, to save the people. I had responded to him that Jesus uses us to share His salvation with others. The cross of Christ is definitely needed, in this time, and a stand to be made on behalf of the Kingdom of God.
I am of the opinion that the time Isaiah was speaking of in Isaiah 60:1-2 is upon us. "Arise, shine, for your light has come! The glory of the Lord has risen upon you. For behold, darkness covers the earth and deep darkness the peoples. But the Lord will arise upon you, and His glory will appear over you." People we are living in a time like no other. Just look at what is said in Isaiah 5:20 that's coming to pass, "Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who present darkness as light and light as darkness,..." That is what's happening today! There are those who want pedophilia to be a sexual orientation and no longer punishable. What?? If you want another scripture, check out 2 Timothy 3:1-5 where it's written, "But understand this, that in the last days hard times will come..." You really do need to look it up and read it.
Jesus is the light in the darkness, the hope in a wicked world, the anchor in any storm. He is salvation for the sinner, and that is every one of us. Our heavenly Father has made a way for all to escape the snares of darkness. It was Love that held Jesus to the Cross and His blood that was shed for our salvation. There is no other way to be saved. No one is good enough to come into the presence of a holy God without the blood of Jesus. In times like these we need to plug in to the overcoming power provided by the Holy Spirit. Now is the time to get right with God. Only He knows what tomorrow will bring.
I would now like to tell you about an awesome event that is taking place on Saturday, September 26, called the Return 2020. It is a national and global day of prayer and repentance taking place in Washington DC. It is an appointed time, a specific day set apart for one purpose - the return to God. Some of the people involved are: Jonathan Cahn, Pat Robertson, Mike Lindell, Dr James Dobson, Anne Graham Lotz, Robert Morris, Alveda King, Marcus Lamb... There is also an amazing list of supporters including Pat Boone, Kevin & Sam Sorbo, Don Moen, and LTG (retired) William G Boykin to name a few. Folks, this is what we need! Prayer is our mighty weapon and it will be the only thing that can change the direction our country appears to be going.
God is a God of order. He follows only His calendar and time table. What is so wonderful is the time period in which the Return is taking place. The Feast of Trumpets is September 18 and the Day of Atonement is September 28th. The time in between is called the 10 Days of Awe in which you're to examine your life and get right with God prior to the Day of Atonement. It is a time that God has set aside for prayer and repentance. I believe when you do things on God 's timeline it brings even more power.
How about you? Are you ready to meet God? What would happen if He was standing in front of you? If you're covered by the blood of Jesus you will be received into Glory. Please friends, don't wait - today is the day of salvation!
